I've had a logitech G500 for a number of years now. Recently upgraded my rig (all new hardware, new fresh install of win 10 home). Everything was working fine for awhile. All of a sudden my custom commands I assigned to my mouse stopped working. I assign Control+F4 to the middle-side mouse key. I thought maybe I needed to install the Logitech software as I hadn't done that yet.
After installing the software and rebooting it still wasn't working. I found that if I switched the setting in the software from "on-board memory" to "automatic game detection" then my assigned keys would start working. Even though I have them set on the on-board memory side. I switch it back to "on-board memory" and then it stops working.
Through all of this, with both reboots and cold shutdowns I never actually unplugged and replugged in the mouse. Did that and voila, working as it did in the past. Except now every time I shut down and reboot the problem returns. All I need to do is unplug it and plug it back in and it starts working again.
Anyone experience anything similar or have any ideas?
