Anyone have a G15 sitting around for parts? My G15 needs a new membrane and thats pretty much it. I guess I can cut from another keyboard the part of the membrane needed...:D

But would rather have a whole mat.

It would help to know which rev. you were looking for parts for.

But I have no spares. My 3 g15 rev 1 are all working just fine except for the paint rubbing off problem.

Rev 2. It's the Orange color not blue.. I do have a rev 1 but my hud is junked . the ribbon tore.

I bought the original G15 as soon as it came out and it lasted 13 months (1 yr warranty)

I bought a G510 about 25 months ago (1yr warranty although Newegg and some review sites say 2yr) and now the right shift key (rarely used) takes a lot of pressure to activate.

As much as I love the functionality, I don't think I can continue to buy premium level products that seem to have a self destruct timer. (G5 - 5 months past warranty, G35, 2 replacements under warranty, then it died 2 mos after warranty plus a few others)

I have a G13 for those occasions where the LCD is helpful, but I'm looking elsewhere for a keyboard.

I still have my original G15 purchased right around launch time. No paint rubbing off, no membrane issues, only recently has my first problem cropped up and that is the lights have flickered and or gone off a couple of times. I don't know if that is a hardware or a software issue though. I use it for many hours a day too, so it isn't like it hasn't been used.

I also have an original G15 that still works.

I posted previously that I spilled soda on it and ruined some traces on the membrane, but I managed to find a circuit writer pen and fixed it. My fault.
The F key is slightly scratched because I used my finger nail a couple times. Then I realized to stop using my fingernails to type. My fault.
The backlight behind the numpad is flickering. No big deal.
And then there's silver paint rubbed off from sweat. Expected.

I do have problems with mice though. The left button always wears out and I either get it replaced or I have to bend the tiny spring.

If anything, I would only need the membrane as the keyboard is still functional. The wasd portion do not really give any feedback due to the membrane being messed up at those locations I bought a max keyboard a couple months ago, so the g15 is on the back burner.

I use a G15(rev 1) daily and have been since they released. Damn thing refuses to die. Tried a razor keyboard that lasted 3 weeks then died..

Mine is still like new from when it was released minus losing a foot. :) I never touch the keys unless my hands are clean. (Cheetos fingers) I only used the G keys back in the day when I played Final Fantasy 11. It was great for Macros.

If anyone wants to dispose of their V1 G15 with a working LCD screen, please let me know. Tore the ribbon while replacing the LEDs for the keyboard backlighting.

Cheers.
