Is there a patch or something I can do to permanetly make the F-lock on? I tried using tape and a ball of paper to keep it pressed but it caused problems typing. I recall reading abotu a patch once and I was wondering if anyone knew about it.

I thought that the iTouch software had an option to remember the previous F-Lock value... however, I for one know that doesn't work. I don't know if there have been any previous patches lately, might be worth a look over at the Logitech site... I know that the previous drivers were 2.15, so hopefully if they have 2.16 out [which it has been a long time] then that may have the fix for it.

AFAIK, the software only remembers the settings for Windows.

Not during boot up... So your SOL if you need the F-Lock on during reboots or anything (unless your quick, of course)

That's my number 1 gripe about the keyboard.

I'm tempted to crack it open and do a logic board mod and make the F keys active low.

I'm using 2.15 and I know its not fixed in this version. I just happened to ckeck the website after seeing this post(cause I hate it too, but am trained to hit the key upon start-up), and the I-touch is up to ver 2.21. It didnt mention the problem, but I'm gonna dig a little deeper on this.

Hehe, same thing, I am using 2.15 at home and have just discovered that they are up to 2.21... Sadly, I'm at work right now on Logitech Wireless, so I can't tell if they have any F-Lock changes... I will report in about 3 hours when I get home from work regarding the changes. I was looking for like, driver revisions or something... but I haven't seen them yet. *Shrugs* So that doesn't help.

I just installed the 2.21, and nothing is different. Going to log in or out/switch users? ok. Reboot/shutdown-startup? Nope:mad:
Oh well, I'M TRAINED. ARE YOU?;)

2.21 remembers it.

not in dos/pre-windows load, but then again one would need the fkeys not the special shortcuts during boot.

it sseems to make sense that flock is on during boot, for those whose bios gets activated by f2, f8 for win recovery...

Oo so their stupid software does have purpose. I installed it think its 2.15 or something and it didnt give me that option. I hate this f key... and flock in windows is good enough.
