Logitech elite duo shutting down my computer?!

Ok i dunno what the hell this is or why it happens. But anytime im playing a first person shooter and ill just be running along and then all of a sudden i cant move, and my character may just sit there or keep running in the direction i was running in. I look at the control pod thingy and the light is out. I hear the computer make the kinda wierd beeping noise for when the duo are diconnected. So far ive tried everything to reconnect hit all the connect butting and everything to try and connect back to the port. But in like 5 seconds or so after hearing the noise my computer just restarts. I have no idea why, logic would thinking that it would just stay disconnected untill it reconnected, but it doesnt.

Has anyone heard of or had thing problem themselves? Because im really stumped.
 
if its plugged into ps2, try plugging it into usb, if its in usb, try ps2, thats the only thing i can think of
