I have read that it is possible to lock the pci and agp ratio. Is this true?

How is this done in softmenu III?

I am planning to get a 2.5 xp and over clock it. If it isn't possible to lock the pci bus to 33 mhz will I fry my sound card? Audigy 2 plat.

What are your experiances with the ratio, I am planning to use 5-2-1.

Thanks, Martin

nForce2 ultra boards all lock the AGP/PCI buses at 33 & 66MHz respectively.

But the frequency of the AGP bus is adjustable in most bioses. And the PCI frequency is half that of the AGP. Example if you increase your AGP to 70MHz, then PCI would be 33. Both buses remain the same, when raising the FSB.

I am sorry, I have a abit KD7 motherboard. I guess I will have to play around with it when I get the chip.

If you PCI bus is not lockable then you tend to get data corruption from the hard drives before you get to a speed which will damage any parts.
Basicaly Windozes wont load.

Luck......:D
