Please help.
I have a Pc Chips M925 HLU motherboard with a Celeron 2.6 gig processor. I went to overclock my cpu but I found that in the bios it is locked and can't be changed. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to unlock this. Thanks in advance.
 
The bios is locked? Or the cpu multiplier is locked? If its teh cpu multiplier, thats normal, you need to overclock by increasing the bus speeds, if its the bios try googling for backdoor passwords. But if youve got a PC Chips mobo, i dont imagine youll get much overclocking out of it at all.
 
PCChips isn't known for their stellar overclockablility, they build basic mainboards that are usually meant to run at spec'd speeds...

Find the PLL on the mainboard, they usually use ICS brand PLL's, then get a copy of cpucool or cpufsb, find the PLL in the software and then tweak the bus speeds from within windows.
