Is there any way that when an admin/mod locks a thread, they make some kind of comment as to why? It just seems extremely rude for a thread that doesnt look like it obviously needs to be locked.

Well thats just it, it seems like everyone should be accountable, even the gawds :p

If they are made to put a comment, it will make it so they cant just lock something because their in a pissy mood and feel the need to control.

or of course, their comment could just be... "I'm in a pissy mood, my girlfriend is making me mad" lol
 
Threads that are locked will usually have an explaination by the closing Mod/Admin. Sometimes it will be made as an edit in the last post to save bumping the thread back to the top. Threads that are very obvious to anyone on the reason for lockage usually will have no comment, since none is really needed. Everyone on this board is accountable to someone, so it is unlikely that you will see a thread closed because of someone's mood. If you ever find an instance of this abuse, feel free to contact an Admin and report the incident :cool:
 
I love the dead thread button. Dead thread just sounds cool. Is that part of VB3 or something custom to the [H]? :cool:

Sounds good man :) *not sarcastic*

I had just mentioned that because I had a thread locked a many moon ago and there was no mention of why, and i was some what puzzled. and just a moment ago i saw a thread in hotdeals that was locked with no note either, no big deal, just curious. :)
