Locked cpu multipel

I have a 2500k that I was able to OC to 4.6ghz on my old motherboard sapphire pure p67.
Now with the Asus Maximus IV Extreme I can only choose between 16-33, I tried all the tricks I know (powerphase, LLC).

I even tried the Auto CPU levelup to 4.2ghz nothing is helping.

I guess the Mobo might be defective?

did you update/reflash latest bios?

Did you enable Turbo Boost and did you set the Turbo Boost multipliers appropriately in the bios? Some motherboards hide the fact that Turbo Boost needs to be enabled within the CPU in order to get any multipliers higher than the default 33 multiplier.

Go into the settings window and make sure Disable Turbo is NOT checked.

I doubt there is anything wrong with your mobo. It just needs to be setup a little differently than your previous board.
