Local Syncing Software With "Selective Sync" Feature?

EDIT: The software that I ended up going with, that had this feature, is SyncBack.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hello, all!

I've been looking around for some software to do this, and have been having a hard time finding it.

Essentially what I'm looking for, is software that can sync specific folders on one hard drive to another hard drive, using a simple checkbox-in-explorer style selection. The software I've been running across all seems to be focused on syncing a single folder, and either requiring you to set up filters or set up separate syncing configs in order to sync separate folders.

Here's what I'm looking for:
Dropbox-Selective-Sync.png

Where you can choose the root of the sync (be that a folder, or an entire drive), and select which folders (and subfolders within folders) you want to sync.

Another feature that would be nice is multiple destinations... So if I'd like to constantly sync certain files to a separate internal hard drive, and then periodically sync a different set of files to an external hard drive I store off-site.

Is there software that is like this?

Thanks!

Microsofts SyncToy doesn't have checkboxes per folder, but is very easy to use. You set up folder pairs to sync using different available modes, and you run them whenever necessary. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15155

Thank you for the suggestion! I'd run across that, but it didn't quite fill the bill.

The reason I'd like something simpler, like checkboxes, is I've got my "Data" folder that I'd like to sync all but a few folders in... So rather than making a whole bunch of folder pairs, I could just uncheck the few that I don't want synced.

Yes, it does. Choose your task, options, select subfolders (or similar wording).

Note that I don't have exact wording, because I've found SyncToy to be unreliable with a large number of files & uninstalled it.

Its a little old now, but check out Second Copy, its pretty feature rich.

Smartsync PRO is what I've used in the past, not sure it's still around but was awesome for options, and various sync options.

Thank you for the replies, all! They were of much help :)

After looking at the options, SyncBack looks to be exactly what I was wanting! Simple selection/deselection of which folders/subfolders you do and do not want to backup (with checkboxes), as well as supporting different syncing profiles.

seems like you got what you need, but there is also this https://www.bvckup2.com/

I use it to keep a copy on my NAS in case of local failure and yes I have an offsite backup before one of you backup crazy people tells me NAS isnt for backup:D
