Live! or Audigy?

Well i have one of the new SB Live! 24 bit 7.1 sound cards, I just recently was given a Audigy with all the diver disc and everything, Will installing the Audigy improve my sound that much at all? and will it also help improve the speed of my machine? my speakers are 5.1 BTW.
 
the audigy does sound a little better than the live but it won't speed up your computer. although, it might gain you a few frames per second in games that employ EAX.

Seemed like a really good idea to me, not smart ass at all. Open up your computer, put in the new card, see if it sounds and performs better. Put in the old card, compare again. Go back and forth for a bit until you decide. Do it wearing a white lab coat. People are quick to attack...

Was there something wrong with my answer? Sound quality is subjective, as well as being dependant on many components. WRT speed gains, I have no idea what games you run, or what your system components are. This is why I advised you, in good faith, to try it for yourself and see what you like better.
 
Yeah lighten up he just meant you to try it out.. :p ;)

Anyways I would use the Audigy.. ;)
