Ok I'm just about done reworking my full tower case. Got the 5 drive bays I can use filled one of them with a Creative Labs Live drive for my Audigy 2 Plat. Now here's the question. The cable that runs from the card to the drive is a standered 40pin flat cable. I want to replace it with a UV coated rounded cable cuase I have to have the cable (I use most of the ports) But it looks like crap. So has anyone else used anything else that don't look like crap. Mainly I want to know if anyone has found a 24" - 30" stright 40 pin rounded cable. Most of the ones I've found have the pin missing at the drive end. ANd well that's really a pain in the ..... Anyways thanks for the help.

EEP, wrong area. Sorry thought I was one fourm over.

The ribbon you are talking about is not a standard 40 pin ribbon, you can see this by looking at the pins on the card and the live drive.......one pin is missing. I tried replacing mine with a rounded IDE ribbon and it did not work. What I eventually did was seperate each wire in the ribbon, and then sleeved it. The end result looks just as good as any other sleeved wires you have seen. Sorry, no digital camera......can't post any pics.

<---- agrees with Pagan Wizard. I do not own a Live Drive personally, but I have heard from a few people on here that the cables is NOT a standard IDE cable.
