LiteOn DVD Burner Problem

Good People,

Maybe you can help me with this:
I have a DVD+/-RW LITEON SOHW-812S burner, I backed up a few dvds Sunday, yesterday I came home turned on my machine and the LED of the burner kept on flashing constantly. It will not read any cds and dvds, WIN XP sees the burner, I checked and reseated the IDE and power cables same thing.
Any ideas?
