LiteOn 166S DVDRom Problem

I reformatted my computer and brought it back up to speed awhile ago and since then my DVDRom hasnt recognized any cd i put into it. ive looked on google, but no luck. ive tried resetting to the microsoft IDE controller driver, but nothing there either. ive switched it with my cdrw drive (master to slave/slave to master), and still nothing. Firmware updates, still nothing. Can anyone help me out? thanks
 
Change IDE cable? You might want to post this in the dedicated Opticals section.
