I just bought a BIOSTAR TForce 6100-939, eVGA 7800GT, and a LiteOn DVDRW. For some reason when I try to load software while in windows with the DVD drive, I will get a BSOD (MACHINE something) and in the Event Viewer it says there was an issue with the device/CDROM.

Why would it do that and what can I do to fix it? Should I RMA it?

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom0.

Thats the error... is that something maybe with my motherboard? The hard drive is on the same IDE channel and its working properly...

No problem... I figured that you've already tried that, so I didn't bother to add that suggestion.
