I'm investigating water cooling of a new home server in order to avoid heating up the room where the server will be located. The idea I am currently toying with is to somehow transfer the heat to tap water and periodically automatically flush heated water in a sink. I am expecting the system to produce around 800W of heat when under full load.
The primary loop of the system extracting heat from CPU, PS, GPU (for computations using CUDA), RAM is relatively straight forward. I would need a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger and some system to automatically change water in the secondary loop once it reaches a certain temperature.
Anyone got views on suitable components and feasibility of a system like this?
Thanks!
