Hello Everyone,

I would like to discuss building a water cooling Pc mod where you have more space to utilize then in a typical Pc Case. I see many builds out there where desk are made to house computers using water cooling, But no break down as to loops and placement of hardware is talked about. I am sure there are many opinions out there to be tossed around. Performance over Budget.

Building this Desk Mod for me is about pushing the limits of a computer.

So below is a Picture of my build currently in construction.

I’d like to discuss layouts and placement to best utilize this space.
Devices needed to be water cooled will be
1 Cpu
4 Gpu’s
8 hard drives
1 motherboard (North and south bridge)
1 memory block

I also like to Discuss possible using 1 Radiator (Choose Size) , 1 Pump (Choose size), and 1 Reservoir (400mm) per device (block) on there own. (Basically 5 Separate cooling systems) Pro and Cons.

What are issues modders would or have run into while building a water cooling system inside of a desk?

Using 5 separate loops would be a complete waste but this is [H] so go for it.

Why not put two PCs in the desk? You show space for 6 reservoirs. Add a media server on the right side and increase the space in the back to allow for more radiators. Run 6 loops:

PC 1
loop 1 CPU
loop 2 GPUs (2)
loop 3 GPUs (2)
loop 4 mobo, ram, HDDs

PC2
loop 1 CPU
loop 2 mobo, ram, HDDs

Just food for thought and enjoy the build.

Horizontal mounting of the res is fine especially if each loop will have a dedicated pump. You might want to look at some of the numerous pump adapters that allow you to mount the reservoir directly to it. It's not necessary but it might look cool.
