Liquid cooled servers anyone?

Hey guys, I'm just looking for some quick feedback. I've developed a bunch of liquid cooling gear that can fit in rackmounts from 1U and up. I've been using it to remove the fan noise from an eight core xeon server I have so I can use it as a desktop without going deaf ;-). I'm trying to figure out what to do next with the mod, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Np pics of that setup as I don't have my camera on me and there's not much to enjoy aesthetically anyway... Has anyone done anything like this or considered taking the server components to build some sort of bad ass desktop? Maybe a liquid cooled table like Pop Mech did:

Suggestions very welcome...

I work with servers nearly every day in a professional environment and the one thing they need to be is predictable and reliable. I would say that water cooling would not fit that bill. In this DIY forum though, perhaps some of the guys/gals running home server gear could benefit. If I was running an older Xeon server for something in my house I'd definitely want it to be more quiet. Could you tell us a little more about what it is you've developed? Custom waterblock? Bracket? Tubes? etc.?

Thanks for the reply. Right now, I have mounting brackets for off-the-shelf stuff as well as my own custom waterblocks.

Yeah, most server water cooling is accomplished with a data center-wide (or at least multi-rack) redundant system.

Smaller pumps are far more prone to failure, and it would be very difficult to rack-mount sufficient radiators.

That said, I have seen quite a few pictures of [H] members with racks at their desks, so you may have interest.

I am also not one to ever turn away choice, and low profile gear may open up some mod options as you already stated.
