Anyone ever use "Liquid Neon" CCTs? If a tube was hidden would the light given off still give the impression of water inside the case or is it just an effect when you look at the tube itself?

Not sure if I'm going to use them but I think I came up with a pretty slick place to hide one if it does give some kind of motion effect to the light inside the case. If not, it's probably not going to be worth it and I'll just use the usual UV tube or something. Ho-hum.

lol watch the video in the link u gave us. looks like the effect is strickly inside the tube.

I don't know. the video isn't that good and they don't show much else around it. you could always buy one and try it out. ;)

I have one, but unfortunately don't have a way to do a video of it for you. Tried it with my digital camera, but to call it crap would be paying it a compliment!! :(

As far as the questions you asked, I'll try to answer. The blue lights don't throw as much light as say, a blue led light, but more like a soft blue glow. Because of that, the liquid effect is pretty limited when it's being projected out from behind an object (I held an envelope up in front of it, and concentrated more on seeing how bright and effective the reflection on the surface below was.

I'd have to say it all depends on how strong an effect you're looking for with one of these. If you have any other light in the case, you'd probably be disappointed. If you have one or two of these, and nothing else, it might look pretty cool.

Hope that helps! :D

I had sorta of hoped the effect would be a little more projective. Ah well, maybe I'll still be able to find some use for one and just give it a try. -$10 isn't much of an investment I guess.
