I have Mandriva(installed just this week as my first linux distro) and i need a way to use it with my Linksys WUSB54G wireless reciever(USB). Are there linux drivers for it(3rd party)? How can i get it to work?

Are there any routers that would work without software for linux?

Looks like you have to mess wih the PITA NDIS wrapper to get it to work under LInux.

Afaik, Zydas chipsets are the only USB 802.11g dongles with full Linux support (last I checked a week ago, but at least one other chipset was being worked on).
 
If you can get the right driver ndiswrapper isn't THAT bad to get going


just run:

ndiswrapper -i (windows driver inf file)

then modprobe ndiswrapper

and add ndiswrapper to the /etc/modules or where ever reboot and the card should start
 
So if i bought this, i could use it as a replacement for my WUSB54G linksys wireless g reciever on Mandravida linux, without installing anything, or messing with NDS wrapper?

EDIT: forgot to add my link. Talking about Zydas 801.11g wireless reciever herehttp://www.zydas.com.tw/product/ZD1211.asp i could recieve the signal from my Linksys SRX(a/b/g)?
