Linux, Windows, gaming and PCI-passthrough

I would like to play some older Windows games. I run Linux on a daily basis and don't want to dual boot. I'm also not interested in Wine.

I have a motherboard that supports VT-d. Specifically, I have:
Mobo: Intel BOXDX79TO
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2670
Video: NVIDIA GTX 460
A single keyboard and a mouse

1) Is it possible to use a single video card for PCI passthrough? I'm finding some conflicting info on the web. Does it depend on the card?
2) If it's not possible to use a single card, if I get another (better/newer) video card, can I use that for the host (Arch Linux) OS, and GTX 460 for Windows (7)?
3) Can I use a single keyboard and a mouse?
4) What's the easiest way to accomplish all of this, software-wise?

1) No, not if Linux is using the card.*

3) Yes.
4) Easy is relative. See the guide above.

*If you needed to share a single GPU, I know of an older and newer method of GPU sharing under Linux (some people here have called it worthless, but it seems to work OK for intended applications). However, this won't work for accelerated gaming in a client OS since the host OS is using the video card.

I got a GTX 1060 earlier this week. I went through Arch's Wiki on the subject instead of the guide, as it's more up-to-date.

Once I got a Win 7 VM up and running, the VM was able to detect the GTX 460 GPU, and I was able to install drivers (using a virtual display). However, out of the graphics card, there was no signal coming out. The card does not support UEFI, so perhaps that's the reason why - I'm not sure.

From what I've read there may be an alternative way to set this up (using Seabios with Qemu), but I couldn't really find any detailed info on the subject.
