Linux SMP issue

It does that, and nothing else. Nothing past Entering M.D. shows up in the log. top shows it ends up launching 16 instances of the core. I've deleted everything and tried again, and it still does it.
 
If you've 16 cores running then it sounds like you are starting the client 4 times with each start.

How are you installing it/ starting it ??
How much Linux do you know ??

If you are a Linux beginer then look at useing Finstall to install the client.
How To.
To install the SMP client just start it "./finsall smp" not plain "./finstall".
Then just use "./folding start" and "./folding stop" to start and stop it, if you dont install it as a service.
Thats what I do.

I dunno. I restarted after I installed some updates and its running now. Maybe I forgot to restart after installing VMWare or something. I know it wasn't a guest OS issue, cause its a copy of my generic Arch Linux vm that I use all the time for other stuff.
