So to put windows on a mac, you need bootcamp
Would I need anything if I wanted to wipe a mac clean and put on Linux. Maybe something like Ubuntu or Fedora Core?
Not to sound rude, but what's the point of using a Mac if you're not using OS X?well the thing is, I dont want MacOS on there. I just wanted to run only linux. Is this possible?

OS X is a more than capable operating system, and as good as Linux has gotten recently, I still wouldn't dream of using it over OS X, especially if this is your first experience with Linux.
That said, if you still want to go through with it, look at this. Make sure you're comfortable with the live CD before you make the commitment.

The only reason I want the mac is because their batteries last longer than anything I have used before. My gf has a ibook g4 and I absolutely despise macOS. And to tell you the truth, I was also thinking about an imac, cause of how clean it looks on the desktop.
If it's a G4 i'm not sure that Fedora or Ubuntu will work on it (afaik they are only for Intel processors)
In that case, you won't even need bootcamp (which is for Intel / EFI systems to begin with)
Look at YellowDog Linux. I use that on one of my G4's for an asterisk server.
