ok, how do i get the linux client to start up automagically on gentoo linux? and how do i tell it to only run on one processor so i can have two clients going at the same time?
 
1) Use the finstall script by Ivioshee, which you can read about at Folding Community Forum Download and run the install script, which will generate a script called 'folding'.

2) Copy your 'folding' script to /etc/init.d/folding

3) As root, type 'update-rc.d folding defaults'

4) Enjoy.

Ivioshee's script sets up for how many CPU's you have and will automatically configure your multiple clients.
 
thanks man. i was gonna do a stage 1 install on it, but then i remember that it takes around 2 weeks to do said install, it will now get a stage 3 install :(
 
I took Gentoo for a test drive, but she's too high maintenance for me. I'm happy as snot with Morphix installed on my folding boxen.
