Lint between LCD layers? Between panel???

This is something really odd, I came back from a lan party to find that there's a big piece of dust or lint inside my LCD screen. I don't have a glossy layer or anything on top. It's the typical matte bare LCD panel on top so there's no layer between the panel and me.

But the lint isn't on the surface, I can't wipe it off, it's not a screen defect, I can see it pretty clearly. It looks like it's between the LCD layers, right underneath whatever is on top. This is driving me nuts and I can't get it out.

Even if I took the body apart, it's INSIDE the LCD panel (held together by the metal frame) and I have no idea how to take that apart or even have the guts to try. Any ideas?

It's actually under the glass between the panel and backlight. If you care to disassemble the monitor, you can lift up the panel and blast out the dust with canned air, then use thin strips of masking tape to seal the area where the dust gets in. This is somewhat difficult and will obviously void your warranty.
