I am having some odd wireless internent issues that I am hoping you guys can help me resolve.
Here is what's happening...
My house has wireless internet from a Linksys WRT54G. I use this wireless access to get internet in my bedroom. For a while I used a Belkin PCI card in my desktop PC and it worked great. I then broke it while moving the computer, so I replaced it with a Linksys PCI card (model number can be provided if neccesary).
The access I am getting on my desktop is painfully slow, almost unusable. I am able to use my Dell 700m which sits a whole 3 inches from my desktop at very good speeds.
Now, I do not remember if the Linksys ever worked good. I cannot remember if my speeds starting sucking at the same time I changed PCI cards, or shortly there after. I would really like to have my desktop running at fulls speeds, and ideas guys?
Things to note:
The internet connect bubble reads "low" 18mbps and other various low speeds.
The internet kicks off randomly and then automatically reconnects.
Thanks for reading guys.
