Linksys & their hardware version numbers???

How the hell do you order the latest version of a linksys piece of hardware if their boxes do not plainly state which version you are purchasing?????

Am I the only one that thinks this is a pain in the arse? Please clarify if you know how to tell what version you are buying.

(the PDF specs on Linksys's site usually say, but that doesnt help when you are buying)

You look a the model number on the box and cross reference it to their webpage.

You must be trying to pick up a wrt54g?

The only thing new in the wild right now is the v5, which is not what you want, so really used is the only way to go if you want a specific model. Check out linksysinfo.com, wealth of knowledge there
