so I picked up one of those linksys soho routers and flashed it with the latest dd-wrt firmware some time back.

I'm having severe issues with bittorrent and outside connectivity.
After sometime, the router's cpu and/or memory just seems to be taking a beating, and everything slows down.
This even includes constant ICMP drops of the management interface. Generally, on most switches, when the backplane or fabric is maxed/overloaded, the switch's management interface starts to drop.

I've lowered my max connections in BT to 35 total; and it's still not helping.
Mind you this is with 1 or 2 torrents going, upstream only around 5KB, and downstream has been downright slow lately.

any other ideas what could be causing this? or is that many concurrent TCP connections/NAT'ing just too much for this router?

Go to "Administration" - > "Management" and set the Maximum ports to 4096 and the TCP and UDP timeouts to 120 if you haven't already.

changed,
lets see how this work
sthanks

still doesn't explain the management interface ont he router taking a dump like that.

Also, DD-WRT v23 SP2 was recently released. It might help to ensure you are running the latest version.
