Alright, I've recently discovered Bittorrent, but due to my router my bittorrent doesn't work. Since I'm not sharing my internet connection anymore I've decided to remove my router and just use my DSL modem. However, when I try to create a new connection, I can't click on (grey) on 2nd and 3rd options (connect using a dial-up modem and connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password), that basically leaves me with only the 3rd option which is connect using a broadband connection that is always on. I've never installed any programs using the cd. I'm guessing somehow the router installed over my old PPPoE files or something. I need help :/

The router installed nothing on your PC, you need to install whatever software you need from your ISP to do PPPoE dialing, you probably never did because there isn't a need for it with a router. Also, on a side note make sure you put a firewall on your PC if your dropping the router

what router do you have?
I've never seen a router interfere with traffic like that.
Works fine with my linksys BEFSR41 or BEFSX41
