Oldie points out this patent issue that has to do with image linking.

A Singapore company has laid claims to a technology that Web sites across the globe deploy to link images to other Web pages, and sent out notification letters to several companies demanding to be paid licensing fees.

I thought linking pictures was simple html coding?

How the hell do they have a patent for coding like this?

What about web content made with Front Page/Expressions/DreamWeaver, etc. The option to link photos is built into the software itself. Shouldn't they be going after Microsoft and the like instead of going after the software users? :rolleyes:
 
Any have the US Patent number of this alleged bullshit? Lets see if it is yet another patent that should have never been granted. Hopefully the EFF with help from MS/Google/etc will get it blown out of the water as nonsense.
