Imagine that…IT workers that are disgruntled, paranoid, habitually late, argumentative and perform poorly at work are most likely to sabotage corporate systems. And we needed a study to tell us this?

According to the research, 86 percent of those who committed cybercrimes held technical positions and 90 percent had system administrator or privileged system access. Almost half -- 41 percent -- of those who sabotaged IT systems were employed at the time they did it but most crimes were committed by insiders following termination.

my corporations think that if they arent in the tech business, they dont need to adequately supply their it dept with funds and hr. i will enjoy watching such corps crash and burn

I think you can use "disgruntled, paranoid, habitually late, argumentative and perform poorly at work" to describe every office issue.

Shootings
Fights
Sabotage
Revenge attacks
etc.

Who's running these studies? Captian Obvious?

I'd like a test to detect incompetent CEOs, and fire them before they do any damage (like sink the company).

We had some new IT guy come into work yesterday. Apparently my machine was pointing at a server which was not located in the building ..... now add to the fact that our old IT guy phoned the boss up one day at 1:30 in the morning to say he quit, no two weeks or anything.

Good thing I never do any sort of banking, or online purchasing on my work computer.
