Just ordered new config of mobo, cpu and memory, but the power supply just took a dump and the parts are almost here.

The local non-bestbuy/compusa/circuitcity store only has Codegen, Enermax and Powmax brands of PSUs. I'd prefer a ThermalTake, but these are the choices I have if I don't want a rip off at the major local retailers.

Been trying to find a review that has these three included but no luck. Read the PSU stick on here too but that only gave me general knowedge and a link for these brands. Heard Codegen used to be good, but nothing about recently. If I have to I'll order online but i'd prefer to not have to.

Anyone know of a review or have some info?

[edit: don't ask how, but I missed the first sticky. that answered all my questions. however, due to newegg being sold out of one of the nice Antec (5 star w/ 200 reviews) boards listed, I settled on a fortron aurora.

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-970&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE

again, the PSU has pages raves about how nice it is. looks like a solid buy.]

Looks like a nice unit, but without running your numbers to see what PSU capacity you actually need it’s all speculation.
