Hey - I was reading online about applying thermal grease, and I ran into an article that mentioned that the design of socket 775 with the way the pins are designed, you are limited to the number of times you can remove/install a processor before the pins (or something) becomes worn out and it doesn't really work anymore. Is this true? The article is here - http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/274/10 - and this is mentioned in the first paragraph. It was published in 2006, so about three years ago, and I am not sure if design changes have been made to mitigate this problem.

actually the change to LGA was partially to increase the amount of installs you can do.
