(btw i hate titles)

so i got a Asus P4P800-Deluxe, P4 2.4C and some Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR400 ram...

now im getting a problem. i know my 1st problem is using their "OC by %" feature in the bios, but thats all i can figure out to do. i can manually set things, but i dont really know what to set and where.

i know i can change my ram timings to 2 3 3 7 (there is no option for 6) but i dont know how to clock the processor higher. any help would be great.

the only reason i ask this now, is, im at "20%" now (2.4ghz @ 2.9ghz) but when i go to set it to "30%" it wont post. i wanna break the 3ghz mark, but i dont know if its a problem with the settings or my hardware.

thx

I'm not sure about that mobo but you might have to raise the voltage to your CPU or if there is a CPU/RAM ratio option you might want to try to change it to 5:4. I run an abit IS7-G with a P4 2.4C and changed the ratio to 5:4 to get mine to 3GHz.

ok...

im lookin @ my bios, set my ram to 2 3 3 6 4 (i dont know what the difference would be between 4 and 8, its the DRAM Burst Length) and the FSB:DRAM is @ 3:2, i dont know how to change that either

and i have these settings:
CPU External Frequency in MHZ that i can set between 100-400 (i think i want 250)
DRAM Frequency (can be set to 266,320,400) i am assuming i want 400 cuz thats what my ram is
AGP/PCI Frequency in mhz can be set to 66.66/33.33, 72.73/36.36, 80.00/40.00 (i have no idea on that one)
CPU VCore Voltage (too many to list but if someone shoots me over what i think it should be)
DDR Refrerence Voltage can be @ 2.85, 2.75, 2.65, & 2.55v (dont know on tha one)
AGP VDDR Voltage can be @ 1.80, 1.70, 1.60, 1.50v

im kinda stuck becuase i dont really deffinatly know what to set em at
