Hey guys, Didn't want to put this in the gallery subforum cause this doesn't hold a candle to anything other people have.

Later I might dremel an 80mm fan hole in the top, but for now I just added 2 UV cold cathodes, uv reactive rounded cables, and green wire loom.

I'm new at all of this, so it doesn't look great.

So thoughts?

i kinda agree it still seems a lite messy in there not as bad as some of the stuff ive seen. but you are on the right track

the loom makes it look bulky. tuck all of the wires behind the motherboard tray. open the other side door and stuff them back there. if not possible if you have an empty cd rom drive put the empty one on top and stuff all the wires in there. the ones you are unable to hide such as hard drive or back fan cables put loom on those.

also with the green loom it makes it stand out a lot more. maybe go for a darker uv color.

ok, thanks for the links ( although some of that stuff is too complicated for me and my budget now. (the plex and stuff.) I'll try and put some wires bhind it it later...

oh my... how hot is your cpu and north bridge n stuff after that..

Ow, my eyeballs.

Nice dork-leash you have there. You don't actually wear that when you're working inside your case as if it's actually necessary or effective?

CPU: It's idling at 45C (see sig for stats on it)

Well, I hve perosnally witnessed a guy who fried his video card when working inside his case, even after touching the psu and whatnot. I got it for free, and it doesn't restrict my movement or anything, so I see no reason not to use it.

much much better. ok you see the wires down at the bottom. get some zip ties and go into the hard drive back and zip tie them together. other than that it is a major improvment

you will learn to live by zipties :)

my whole case is zip ties.

also if you really want to mod you can cut out the hard drive rack and put your hard drive in with your floppy. thats what i did. mine was actually removable. it cleaned it up and my temps are 8F cooler.

ill get some pictures to you later if you want

lol nice foot :p
you can get those fan wires and stuff to follow the edges of the case.. where they cannot be seen... also you can pull stuff behind the motherboard... but it doesnt sem like there are many if any wires you can do that with...
dont keep the molex plugs on the fans.. cut the wires and splice them all onto one plug.. makes hiding them much easier
ill take pics of my case if you want some ideas on how to further get rid of stuff.. i used sleeving tho.. i dont like how loom looks soo....bulky

with my case... you can see 99% of the motherboard try to go for that as a goal

I am too lazy to read all the replies, so this might have already been stated...

You need to move the loom that covers voer your CPU fan. That's the first bad thing I've noticed about your setup.

pictures... needs more work... i need to figure out how to get rid of all the wires up top...untrill then i wont repaint because i would prob mess up paint.. was supposed to be cleaner a week ago.. but doom 3 sort of distracted me

try and figure out how i got my ide hdd mounted.. you gotta look close to see how its sorta... hanging out in mid air :p

comparing my setup to yours.. this might sound wierd.. but install your power supply upside down.. that way the wires come out in the back of the case not the front of it... maybe then you will have enough slack to have the atx power and 12v go around your heat sink

well, first, I cleaned up a bit, did you look at those?

and yeah, I tried to do that.... but my case is really screwed up in that respect, the screws aren't in a standard pattern, if you get what I'm saying... instread of

o____o
o____o

it's like

o____o
o__o

that.

wierd.

my psu i just turned the mounting plate around.. but if the screw holes dont fit thats what a drill is for if you got the guts and the tools..
in my case the hole for the oddball screw is on top instead of on the bottom

responding on your cable cleaning.. yes i saw the newer one.. i am just not a big fan of the chunky loom...

how come you don't run your ram in Dual channel?
Also, you need to zip tie your loom so it's more compact...

If you don't cut holes in your case/tray you will not be able to hide everything effectively..
my 2 cents.

how is your dfi going for you? mine is wonderful its the best mobo ever. the most expensive amd out there to. i think

By starting the project. We know you are aware that you need to clean things up, A little beautification. So now you are headed in the right direction. Don't just rapp'm ,sleeve'm, tape'm or what ever and call it good you need to strategise this stuff. so be patient with yourself and accomplish one task at a time. Think about what you want at the end of this. you know what you need. ( Better air flow) around your hardware. Make that your goal, once you have got that you will probably find that the mess is gone.

stay cool

i believe we figured it out...... did you read every post or just the first one?

Heh, good point. I think when I first put them in, I was just doing it in a hurry and didn't think about it. When I open it up again i'll fix that :D

Well, around the atx power cables, the loom is full.

and here is a photo with the lights on:

and i shot a quick video cause I wasn't sure if the photo came out alright. (it's the zipped file http://s89737224.onlinehome.us/photo/PC lights/]here. If you really don't care, don't download it :) don't want to fully kill my bandwidth :D

Try and get some smaller diameter loom for the smaller wires. That's what I did, I believe I have 1/2", 1/4" and 1/8" loom in my system.
