hello all...im looking for some information reguarding lighting for my PC. This is my first build and i must confess, i know nothing about this topic. i googled it and can't seem to find any info on the different options. I have the thermaltake armor...so i have plenty of space to work with. I am watercooling with UV reactive tubing so UV lights would be preffered. Also is there a dimmer control panel i could hook up to one of the drive bays so i could turn it off at night while the computer stays on. Any help would be appreciated guys.

That control panel will also slow down some fans too, so you can quiet your case a bit, AND get a nice glow. Hope that helps

I have not had much luck w/ that brand of UV lighting. I know it is not a heat issue in my case, though it is possibly a problem w/ the converters I get. But I have had 6 of those lights die on me in 3 months.
Not sure what alternatives there are, I know Ultra makes them, but they cost a lot more. When I chose Logysis, I figured I could get almost 4 sets for the same price as the Ultra brand locally, and would just replace them when they died. Well, Im almost out of bulbs now.........

i checked both and it seems the Ultra brand is only $5 more per bulb. in the grand scheme of things that's not too bad, considering how much im spending on the rest of my rig...
that contoller that you gave me a link to...how does it turn off the lights? it says fan control...maybe im just missing something?

Right, as the post above me states, it varies the voltage to the lights...
On that controller, if the knob is between 0-7v you get no light on the tubes... at about 8v, the cathodes power on, at around 50% of their maximum brightness... Then by around 11-12v they reach their highest level of luminosity.
