So as I've said in my worklog for "Magical Mouse" mod... I am putting in a light display on the front (inside a door) and I was wondering if I should go with EL wire, LED... or I don't know!! I know that elwirepros.com offered to do a custom soldering job for me with the molex connectors and everything pretty much hooked up how I want it (they don't even charge that much). I just don't know how I want to do it and I'm about to drill out the design from the case (either way that has to get done).

So blast away... ideas are going to really help me out!

For those of you who don't wanna jog over to the worklog area... I'm doing a 3 color/panel firework motif that I want to back light with something... I have always really liked the idea behind el wire, it doesn't use much power, it's compact and flexible.... buuuuuut.... I've never worked with it before! LEDs could give some serious bling, but at the same time I'm worried they might be too bulky to fit into here:

The image will be cut into the door panel and everything needs to fit behind it (there is about 1/2" of space) and then have just enough room for me to squeeze a black plastic mat of some kind (cut down) in there to hide all the wiring and lighting when the door is open. Hints? Tips? Tricks? Anyone a pro at using EL wire? :D
