Lighting Colors (LED vs CCFL)

Hey.

I'm looking at potentially modding my Antec 900 with red lights. I was wondering: is there a difference in shade of Red between, say this and this? And what about this?

Has anyone had experience with this? Is it really worth worrying about, or will any configuration of reds work well?

Go for LED's... CCFL's are more orangy or pinkish than red.

Thanks, but how about fans? What 120mm fans would you recommend, if any, that have red lighting?

How important is quiet to you? Just about any LED fan performs the same... I like the Logisys LED fans, because they seem to have good lighting, but they just don't match the silence of a good yate loon or something.

I can't recommend red cathodes. I have a set, and they're.. orange..

cathodes only for uv.

Cathodes work fine for any colour but red.

Green, blue, orange, UV, etc.

As far as LED fans and silence goes... see if you can find Coolermaster's stuff. The blue version you can find easily enough, but the red one is a bit harder. If all else fails, get an Antec Tricool and set it to medium/low.

I've used these cathodes in several builds before, and they're pretty darn red.

The customer's pictures that are white balanced properly are a pretty accurate representation.
