I'm curious if anyone has successfully removed/repaired light scratches on an LCD screen? My 2-year old decided to use one of my monitors as a writing surface for a fine-tipped ball-point pen and the effects are still somewhat visible when producing white light. The saving grace is between the monitor height and his under-formed motor skills, he couldn't get much leverage to really take it to it.
I've seen a number of "fixes" online, but I'm always a little hesitant to try those "works like magic" repairs, that undoubtedly go wrong if you fail to hold your mouth just the right way. I'm hoping there are at least a few enterprising individuals that have tried (with success, or otherwise) to repair their monitors, to get some first hand advice about the pitfalls.
Thanks for any help.
