lifecam VX-3000 mic

Does anyone else have a lifecam VX-3000 and use the microphone built in? I get an awful amount of noise and feedback in the background when using it. Any ideas what this could be and if anyone else has the same device what are there experiences with it? I don't know if I should just buy a new microphone.

I have this cam and while I don't use it much i haven't had any problems with the mic. I would try moving it around on the desk and see if something close by is causing the problem.

yeah I tried moving it from the monitor to in front of me to away from the PC still gave me the same results.
