Lian li's new case....PC-P80

It looks like the end result of a Lian Li case having a one night stand with a Cooler Master case. :p

Looks like 10pci slots is becoming standard

I'm guessin this will be around $300... front and top are meh... but maybe more options for watercooling? :D Dunno

QFT. I don't really like it. Lian-Li was one of the last companies with completely clean case designs.

Give us the old school ATC designed CM cases. Not even the new Silverstone stuff holds up to that.

Its like an Antec 900.

And that's not good.

Oh well. Good thing there's a whole slew of good cases out there anyways.

Hmm... I like the original cooler master better. :)

Suprised they tried to give it a little shape, unlike their previous flat cases. In fact, it's so not sleek. Like a striped shirt or a zebra. Well, I guess it will be.

Thought I'd give it a second glance...dam still ugly :). But glad to see them try something new. And I'll bet this thing will be a great water cool case. Also, expecting top notch build quality as usual. Curious to see what else they come out with. Could get interesting. Waiting patiently.

From Hexus: "The PCP-P80 will retail for around £200-£250 ($400-$500 USD): Well spank me in the good eye!

Why do manufacturers always want to make everything mesh, and have a shit tonne of room? give me a mid sized case that doesn't look like a box with a computer inside of it.

"Oh but DaCoOlNeSs the mesh and all the slots allow for so much air flow!"

yeah it also lets them charge 400 bucks for a case that costs them 50 bucks MAYBE to make!

Hopefully they realize this is a mistake and never make anything like this ever again.

Dont install any hdd's or odd's or kiss your airflow goodbye...?? I dont get why the fans would be on the door like that?? so if i have to load a cd and open the door i have to close it right away to keep airflow? LOL its like not closing the fridge door but in reverse or something idk

Thats f**king horrible tbh, whats happening to Lian Li? They used to make sleek, no nonsense cases and now they've gone crazy with LEDs, fans and the size of their cases, or they just bring never ending rehashes of the PC-7 on the market.

How about updating the V-series at least? I like the interior layout in them and I'd love one with a simple looking door that had power and reset buttons on the outside...

I'm not a big fan of the look, but I really hate how between version 1.0 and version 2.0 they took out the hard drive bays at the top of the case. They actually reduced the capacity of this massive beast.

Its like the CM Stacker 830, but not. Although I'd buy this over the Antec 900 if it were reasonably priced. But Lian Li needs to stick to what they do best, sleek simple designs, which is not this.

Is Lian-Li "under new ownership" or something? That doesn't look like a Lian-Li case at all. It does indeed look like a sequel to the Antec 900. The "one night stand with a Cooler Master" is quite poetic, though.

Anyone know what that tumorlike growth on the top is?

Wow. Its actually official.

I was hoping they were trolling or something.

... 3x14cm fans? That's totally CM or Antec.

I kinda like it except for the front, top, sides and um....the inside. :D

though it’s ugly, it can look like it’s holding some expensive pro stuff inside not like all the other normal looking dust school LiLi case’s (regardless the super dooper quality)
I actually went with my friend to a local store in my city just to see why people talk a lot about Lian Li, I saw more than one and kept touching them and playing with them (specially that door thing that never seemed right to me) I tried to convince myself with every possible way that this thing deserves to hold my rig, but …. Never mind :D

Lian Li is pulling out all stops. They even copped Thermaltake's naming scheme.

I know which case I'm not buying!

ya they went too far on copying thermale and coolermaster, looks like a case they would make, not lian, frankly looks like shiet, but looks like great potential for a front mounting rad WC rig.

Going by that picture, did they ditch the handle idea? Maybe it's removable, who knows at this point. It's kinda growin on me...kinda.

Stacker 830 + Kandalf + 900. Yuck.

Why 10 PCI brackets all of a sudden?
1+
Why oh why?!
The best looking cases are simple ones without 5 billion drive bays and 10 billion PCI slots. I hate the Antec 900 and this really looks a lot like it. Eugh.

I'll go back to my CM Cosmos & 690s, tyvm.

edit; after looking closer, that stupid handle bar for LANs looks ridiculous! The bars on my Cosmos looks so much better! And what are the "no doubt, and it has a number of new features not yet seen on other models" features..!? Noise-dampening, 140mm fans? 10 drive bays for CFx/790FX/Tri-SLI? Come on Lian-Li, you can do better than that!

I think it's fugly when compared to just about every other Lian-Li case out there but compared to alot of Thermaltakes, Coolermasters etc., it's OK looking. I've always loved the looks of Lian-Li's because of their sleek, subtle, but stylish design...this case can't even pretend to have those kinds of credentials, IMO...

I really like full-tower cases... but not this one.
The good: door can swap hinge locations, um... oh, MB tray is removable
The Bad: no internal watercooling greater than 1x120 rad without mods, It really grabs attention, $$$+, no casters (that really helps to move my v2100+ around)
The Ugly: overall look, bulge on top, lack of placement for fans along doors, looks bad without the door too

Hey, wait a minute, that M looks familiar. Where I have seen that before?
Oh, I know:

Coincidental choice of font? Or is Lian-Li trying to go after the "extreme" snowboarding, hang-gliding, parasailing, etc., crowd with a subtle Mountain Dew association?

I dont see any Lian-li elements with that ugly looks, perforated bays, big LED fans, 'gaming' gimmick, and ARMORsuit name. Is lian-li toxicated by coolermaster, thermaltake, or maybe antec?

If it's not because of the big lianli name at the top front, I may not know that this is lianli case.

Exactly. And while that's already a big problem itself, removing the bottom PSU slot adds to that. 10 PCI slots? WTF? Compare this case to a PC70 or G70 which are attractive to water coolers because the top area fits a radiator.... this case just has nothing going for it.

ThermAnteCoolermanLi.

No kidding, have they lost their minds? If nothing else, they're going to lose their market. Maybe the tumor on the top is a representation of the tumor affecting their judgment.

There are already dozens of case manufacturers and modders that specialize in cubic kilometers of marketing manure and tard lights. The computer game market niche needs another one of those like it needs another first person shooter.
