Where does the other tube off the v-split thingy go to? The one that doesn't go to the radiator

That is used to bleed air and fill it. its capped airtight to make the loop closed.

I made it myself milled and tapped. I wish I could have bought a Y with a threaded end.

Sorry I did this at work and was told no more personal work good thing im done. You should be able to buy them somewhere I just didnt look.
