I just got a g50 side panel for my a05b from performance-pcs and I ordered the lian li plus II bracket along with it. I had the intention of replacing the stock lian li fan on the bracket with a coolermaster fan. When I went to replace it though, I realized that the screws holding the stock fan in place on the bracket were smaller than normal fan screw holes and the stock lian li fan had small sinkers in the fan screw holes for the smaller lain li screws.

Anyone out there replaced a fan on this bracket before? And if so - care to share as to what you did?

If you want to keep the little "duct" part of it (the half inch wide octagon) you'll have to enlarge all the holes on it with a drill... Twas what I had to do.

i have a G 50. When i went to replace the original fan i did not have any normal size fan screws on hand and wanted to reuse the original lian li thumbscrews. I used the tip of a soldering gun to heat the inserts (sinkers) until the plastic melted enough to remove them, then i used the soldering gun to heat the sinkers enough to melt them into the replacement fan. worked like a champ and i still have the thumbscrews to hold the fan.
