I'm shopping for a new case and made up my mind on this Lian Li. I wanted to double check that it will work fine with long video cards. I'm planning on putting a 4870 in it to start off, but will eventually step up to a 4870x2 or some future card. How long of a card can it fit? Any cons about the case?

Also, what is the best place to get it from? Is newegg the cheapest?

The PC-60 is my favorite case style, I've had 6 PC60 style cases.

If the 4870 is the same length as the GTX280 it'll just fit, JUST - as in about 1mm clearance.

Note that if you remove the HDD bay, which is easy because it's modular, they'll fit with about 5" to spare.

So that bay is for extra HDDs? I just have 1 HDD and at most I'll have 2. They can go somewhere else?

Yes, they could go in the floppy bay in the top right of that picture. Then you wouldn't need that HDD tray at all and the graphics cards will have the entire length of the case.
