Lian Li & BTX

i remember seeing one over the summer, it was black, but i never found a place to buy it online :(

Okay, so what do you need for BTX?

BTX case obviously

BTX Motherboard

and what else? Do I have to find a BTX heatsink for the CPU? (That would suck...I dont believe there are any highend BTX heatsinks yet).

Also, does this Lian Li case make you purchase a seperate part for BTX?

Any BTX Lian Li cases besides the ugly sea shell case?? lol
Im guessing you mean the PC-777 20th anniversary case? I dont think thats BTX.

EDIT: Just checked. Its definately NOT BTX

not sure what you mean. You don't need a different HS for BTX. HSF are socket related, not formfactor.

i think cooler master makes btx heat sinks, in the 92mm fan form, and 80mm fan form.

I have sene this a few times...the Lian Li cases do not come witha BTX formfactor....that are reverse ATX, this is also true wiht the V1000-v2000. hope this clears it up.

Does anyone seriously believe that BTX will ever be adopted? There are a couple of BTX cases from dell, maybe a few other OEMs.....but seriously? This was Intels attempt to try and cool down their power hog CPUs, but now they are going for more efficient CPUs. BTX is not really needed anymore.

It has been in the wings for what 2, maybe 3 years now? How much longer will it sit in unsupported limbo, and who really cares anymore?

gateway makes btx pcs, [H] did a review on two of them. i have one of the gateways and i love the airflow path, cools my 6600GT quite well and everything is alligned for airflow, makes sense to me. also using dual slot graphics cards won't block any pci cards. i also love the quietness of them, only 2 120mm fans in the case is so

What is the difference between the two?
I thought that BTX was, in terms of case design, basically a reverse of ATX.
