Li-Li V2000 rivet removal/install

I'm taking apart a Lian Li V2000 for a future water cooling mod, and I've noticed quite a few of the rivets for the center support brace have flat heads and are tucked in nicely to the surface so it is flat. I've never seen any of these on the market, thought I'd ask what everyone else is using to replace these before I start removing them or throwing some of what I have on the grinder to flatten them out.

Any ideas?

As a side note, I recently purchased this V2000, but have previously owned a V1000 and currently have a 2100 in my office. Is the metal in these cases getting a little cheaper, or is it just me. Seems thinner...with prices skyrocketing on aluminum perhaps Lian Li is cutting corners? Just an observation, but I've encountered plenty of pieces that just seem flimsy...

Appreciate any help offered.

Countersink the hole like I had to... Then tap the rivet hole to 8-32, and put a flat headed screw into it.
 
Very good idea Arcygenical. I think I'll run with it. Lots of tap work ahead of me...

Do you remember what length the screws were? Also, what countersink size? I'm used to countersinking with wood, not metal...

Any tips on a successful outcome appreciated.

TBH, I just used a 1/2" drill bit to do the countersinking, not a real countersink :p.

As for screws, they were 3/8"... And you only need to *really* tap about 5 holes to get the case back to it's original strength.

Appreciate the info, I'll just line up the best fit when it comes to bits...Looks like I'll need to head out and get an 8-32 tap, don't have one in my armory...ah, they're cheap.

Oh, the first thought when it came to tapping is. a) what is seen, and b) strength...I'll only tap what is needed.
