I'm sure it's been discussed at length (though I can't seem to find anything solid via the forum search), but does anyone have a line on the LGA1156 roadmap? What can we expect from this socket in terms of future proofing? Is it safe to assume Intel has additional plans beyond the i3, or are all the major advancements going to use the socket 1366 as the jumping off point?
LGA1156 seems like a really sweet buy these days, but I'm not entirely convinced of its future. LGA1366 has 6-cores to look forward to, what about 1156? 32nm quads?
