Hey guys, when I was shopping around for monitors, I found that there are just not enough pictures of them. You like to see how everything looks. How the buttons are, how the back looks, and stuff like that. I recently for two LG L246WPs and love taking pictures. I took pictures of the unboxing and of the final setup. I figured I would post them here for you all to enjoy. So... enjoy.

If you want any more pictures, high resolution versions of any of them, explanations of them, or anything else, let me know. I'm happy to help. :)

Funny, you and I have the exact same LCD setup, but I prefer one screen directly in front of me and the other on the left tilted 40 degrees inwards.

I guess I'm more comfortable looking at directly at 1 screen without turning my head.

Let us know what color setup you set those dualies to.

FYI - If you go into the OSD Menu system, you can turn off the annoying blue "v" lights.

I love the set-up. I have one LG 24" flanked with a 20" Viewsonic VP2030P tilted 90 degrees. I could not be any happier.

For the colors, I am using User; 100 Contrast, 62 Brightness, 100 Red, 98 Green, 93 Blue

Seems pretty good to me. :)

Congrats on the purchase dude, nice monitors.

One question for you though, how do you like gaming and video playback on them.

Makes me a little jealous, hehe, as I have only (only!?~) one LG L246WP. :p Nice keyboard and mouse too.

I have a question for you, since you have exactly the same monitors as me. Have you tested out how they look over a VGA cable? Did you notice the individual pixels were a little blurry, even at 1920x1200 (native res) and doing 'auto calibration' doesn't help?

When I have mine connected over a DVI/HDMI cable, it's perfectly sharp and clear. But over the VGA cable, it seems a little fuzzy. If you go into paint, and draw something with the Pencil tool, the pixels will be slightly blurry.

Just wondering if happens to you too, because it occurs on my monitor and the one I tested out at the store before buying it. It's not a big deal breaker, as I mainly use it over DVI/HDMI but still kinda sucks for a $500 monitor. =/

Video looks amazing. Colors are clear and crisp, and even at 24 inches, stuff scales really nice. I have my Wii hooked up through my capture card, and it looks sharper and crisper on these than my old 19 inch.

I can not state on gaming, as I do not game on my PC. Consoles and handhelds for me.

I did try it out when I first got it. I had the luxury of having two as well and I could compare them directly. In comparison, yes, the VGA is rather blurry and not as clear. Colors seem washed out, nothing is as sharp, and motion does not seem as smooth. This is to be expected from an analog source carrying such a high resolution. Just the way it goes.

Thanks a lot for the info. I guess they're all like that, so no point in exchanging my monitor.

I'd have to disagree about it being directly because of an analog source. Some monitors can handle analog input better than others. L246WP just isn't one of them. For example, a Samsung 245B (also a 24 incher, though a TN panel) that I saw at the store looked absolutely brilliant over VGA. The colours were great and the picture was crystal clear and perfectly sharp. But hey, it didn't have adjustable height, rotating screen, 1:1 pixel mapping and lots of other little stuff.
