I have been noticing more options for 23" IPS lately. One more I have seen on newegg is the LG E2370V. There does not seem to be much info on it anywhere else.

It has 2 HDMI and PIP. Pretty aesthetically pleasing as well.

I know the IPS226V is sitting on newegg as well, and the 23" version should be out soon as well. But I question why LG would have both the IPS236V and the E2370V out at similar price points.

Currently looking for this size (23") for my new build. Anyone grab one of these LG ips yet?

IPS 226V Review

PRAD.de will be reviewing both the 22/23" versions as well.

Should have the same performance as the 23" version and the new 23" Asus IPS as well. From what I have read 2x6V range suffer from the same non-existent quality control and harsh AG coating common with LG IPS panels.

I got the IPS226.

It has very noticeable clouding (the two bottom corners in particular and a slight bleeding at the top) and it most likely is 6bit+FRC like the Dell U2210/2310 (same panel with just a different backlighting apparently) although I don't see any dithering/banding (maybe cos it's higher quality dithering compared to the TN panels I've had?).
Viewing angles are narrow (the blacks turn purple quickly if you're not in front of it, other colours have a decent viewing angle though). The closer you are to the screen, the worse the problem is. I sit kind of close to my monitor so you may not be annoyed as much as I am.

Note that the clouding only affects the blacks, any other colour (even pure white/dark blue) is fine. So if you watch a film in 16/9 for example you usually won't really notice anything.
Response time ain't great (noticeable motion blur like the Dell U2210/2310) but it's perfectly playable even though I'm a heavy Quake player.

And colours are of course not calibrated by default.

AG coating? Dunno, it's no different from the TN panels I've had before and while the whites do look a bit grainy, text is easy to read (had to reduce the brightness by 60% in the OSD).

PS : everyone who bought it mentions the same clouding so it's apparently not even a matter of quality control

I just picked up the IPS236 from BB yesterday. Haven't put a ton of time into it.

First impressions... Zero dead dead/stuck pixels. No obvious discoloration of any portions of the screen -- except for the bottom corners, like kalston mentioned.

Don't have a hardware calibration device, but to my untrained eyes, it looks great!

EDIT: As you can see, the "clouding" kalston describes probably isn't what I'm seeing. In my case, the corners don't appear to be getting as much backlight as the rest of the panel. It's noticeable with every color except black. But, given the location, I'm not going to risk exchanging it for another panel that might have dead pixels, or worse.
