I'm in Korea and I recently purchased this monitor. Sadly, it's available only in the Korean market but it's something to write LG USA (EU, etc) about. They need to bring this over to your respective markets since my initial experience with it has been nothing but stellar. Here are the specs:
26" S-IPS Panel (25.5" viewable) - 16:10, 16:9, and 4:3 modes
1900 x 1200
5ms
400cd/m2
1000:1 (3000:1 dynamic)
102% color gamut
Height and tilt adjustments
Digital HDTV tuner
Built in Speakers (3W x 2 down firing, 16 ohm impedance) SRS TruSurround TX rated
Inputs: D-sub, DVI, 2 x HDMI, component, composite, S-video, 1/8 audio jack, and the aforementioned RF TV tuner
Output: optical audio, 1/8 audio jack
Misc: Remote control, USB port (Service only), built in power supply
Power consumption: 120w (on), 1w (standby), 1w (off)
Mini review:
Pros: Responsive and accurate touch sensitive buttons. A lot of video inputs. Abundant image controls. Great speakers, they wont replace your 5.1 but theyre a space saving substitute to a 2.1. Intuitive remote offers everything thats on bezel and more. GREAT COLOR, 102% color gamut does justice to my Nikon D300. Yes, you can have a monitor with a wider color gamut, but youre moving into Eizo territory (along with their prices). Calibrated, this monitor can handle critical imaging tasks. Im so impressed that Ive sworn off of TN panels completely. VA panels will get a second look, but IPS from now on. Gaming is an ABSOLUTE JOY. I was not able to detect ghosting in CS: Source (which looks awesome especially with the wider POV). It has an excellent TV tuner, accepts analog and digital TV.
Cons: Not really a con for me, but this LCD does not feature picture in picture or picture by picture. I dont care too much, but some of you might. NO 1:1 pixel matching. In monitor mode, you get 16:10, 16:9, and 4:3. TV mode, you get everything plus a couple of zoom levels.
With a built-in 100v ~ 240v autoswitching power supply, this monitor begs to be sold overseas. A few tweaks to the OSD (your respective languages) and its set. I haven't had a chance to plug my PS3 into it, so no comments there, but I'm sure this screen will deliver the goods.
I purchased it for 600,000 Korean won, with today's 1300KRW to 1USD exchange rate, this screen comes out to around 462.00 USD. Ive seen this screen sell for as low as 560,000 (430.00) and as high as 850,000 (650.00).
