LG Electronics UM67 29UM67

I just got this monitor last week. I haven't had a lot of time to fully evaluate it yet, but I'll give you my impressions.

Pros:
- Aspect ratio is great for getting immersed in games that support it
- Freesync (still using a GTX 670 right now, but will update when I install my new R9 390)
- Refresh rate can be set to 75Hz using DP cable
- IPS viewing angles and colors
- More horizontal space

Cons:
- Vertically shorter than my u2412 and 120 less vertical pixels
- The text doesn't look as sharp as the u2412 (might need to adjust some settings)
- The stand only has tilt adjust, no swivel and no height adjustment
- Backlight bleed is more pronounced than the u2412, though not terrible enough for it to be returned
- Doesn't come with DP cable

I mainly bought it for the ultrawide aspect ratio and freesync. I gave up my eyefinity setup a few years ago when I moved into a smaller space, so I wanted to bring back that immersive feeling I had back then.

Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to know.

Well, my big game is bf 4. So my main issue is the way it handles fast motion. I like it for the immersion too. I just wonder if it will be fast enough. You have to buy the dp cable seperate right?

If you're worried about being competitive, a 16:9 >100Hz screen might be better. I haven't played battlefield since bf3 so I can't really give you a good idea of how it would perform for you. I play some FPS games, but not seriously enough that I need high refresh rates. I'm guessing a faster screen would do better for BF4.

I bought a DP 1.2 cable at monoprice and I am able to turn on freesync in the OSD and set the refresh to 75Hz with the gtx 670.
